Ciphr’s new 2025 research into the most prevalent forms of discrimination in the UK found

🔶️ Over 45% of UK adults say they have experienced some form of workplace discrimination – either in the workplace (38%) or when applying for jobs (39%) or both.

Age discrimination in the job market has affected around one in seven people

Over half of 18-24 year olds have experienced hiring bias when applying for jobs

🔶️ Today's workplace is an ever-changing diverse environment often offset with a social background of inequality and injustice as many battle race, class and or gender issues. Facing up to challenges science tells us equates to 45% of the way to creating a better outcome, so this is a conversation to be had regularly.  Humour is a powerful door to help us face painful memories and negative emotions.

✅ Diversity & Difference will help individuals develop and navigate language, social and economic barriers, discuss trauma and the minefield of triggers and offence can cast a shadow in working atmospheres especially since Brexit and Covid erupted.

We unpack some of the issues, discuss creatively and open up productive avenues of shared experiences, best practice, and ignite, motivate and build work friendships and enjoy agreements and even disagreements.

Past clients include: Banks, charities, schools and churches.

Adoption and charity organisations

Social workers and practitioners, communities and family organisations.

✅ Diversity & Difference will encourage authentic conversations and help each other to see new perspectives.

Diversity & Difference discusses discrimination, hidden ignorance and how systemic pattern of behaviours that can creep into decision-making and workplace conversations. How can we better navigate these issues and make the uncomfortable a catalyst for change?

🔶️Introduction

I am a transracial adoptee from Nigeria to the UK arriving into the arms of my new white family against all the odds in a washing up bowl! I’ve hated washing up ever since. Learning how to navigate injustice, racism and equality have been my life language. This led to many mental health challenges to get to a place of self-acceptance, personal growth and using my challenges to become my strengths and eventually share with others.

Diversity & Difference Sometimes dealing with long-term issues around race and identity in the work place can be detrimental to our mental health, so I share some powerful ways to stay well under pressure from meditation to lifestyle wellness hacks that can help overcome past and present trauma.  This is great for the individual or for family our workplace teams.
