‘Adoption is a complex gift and society needs to encapsulate the fullness of this treasure albeit through adversity'

‘Adoption is a complex gift

My adoption advocacy work started in 2006 by chance when I shared my adoption story on Sky News and my story went viral. I have witnessed, campaigned for and worked with many leading adoption and fostering organisations to aid legislation and help create a better understanding and involvement of the adoptee voice. However much more needs to be done to ensure the generations to come fully understand and engage with adoption in it's fullness. My advocacy work will never end and I am driven quite simply by love. In 2014 I set up 'AdoptionArena.com' and in 2020 I founded the Adoption Arena Podcast that saw our project recognised in Good Housekeeping magazine, Best and Chat during lockdown when the podcast was birthed.
