I delivered my Laughter Workshop, talk and stand up comedy show at the Salvation Army Women's Conference 'Riverbank' at Warwick University for 300 women.

My career highlights include being recognised in 2008 and nominated for an EMMA Award(*Ethnic multicultural media award), performing at the London Hilton with Claudia Winkleman for Jo Malone and making my Edinburgh Debut back in 2015 with my first one woman 1hr show.

I've worked as an established  UK comedian  since 2000 but since 2006 I've been working as a speaker/campaigner on adoption issues and since 2015 on Diversity and race. It is a great honour for me to be able to share my knowledge and wisdom as a corporate speaker, my  clients include Good Housekeeping, Inner Circle HR, Bond Dickinson, Metropolitan Police, Diocese of Leicester Adoption UK and Brunel University to name a few.

I also have a media presence discussing many of the pressing news stories of the day on shows such as the Nick Ferrari Show, LBC with Iain Dale, BBC Radio London 94.9FM with Eddie Nestor and BBC World Service. Some of my advocacy work is realised in Adoption Arena a website for those in the adoption field a work I started back in 2014.   My hobbies are still the same

Ballet, Blackberry picking/jam making and of course my much loved birds - I have a pet robin called 'Seaside' in my garden - hand trained fed daily!

News:

I am excited to join Rants and Bants Comedy night, NW1 on 25th April with a closing set! Book your tickets now HERE

Acting

My love for acting was founded aged 16 when I joined the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, I went onto study at Wimbledon School of Art as a Theatre designer before doing many courses in theatre, acting and dance.

I have had parts in Deep State 2, The Beast (London Film School) and a commercial for Hilary Blinds to name a few.

Comedy

I have enjoyed performing stand up at UK festivals, conferences, after dinner speaking engagements, business meetings, charity events, award ceremonies and of course around the UK comedy circuit. I have over 15 years of professional experience writing, performing and showcasing the gift that is comedy.

I have had the pleasure of performing at the London Hilton with Claudia Winkleman, Tate Britain for the Young Achievers Award for Westminster City Council, RBS Bank, Bond Dickinson, Metropolitan Police, Diocese of Leicester and many universities such as Nottingham Trent, Preston, Goldsmiths and Grimsby to name a few.

Current Affairs and Adoption Advocacy

Social commentary work is important to me along with most comedians, I cover race, women's and adoption stories in the news especially, along with fun stories about dogs etc! I've worked on the Nick Ferrari Show, LBC with Iain Dale, BBC Radio London 94.9FM with Eddie Nestor and BBC World Service to name a few.

Government organisation Cafcass invited me to celebrate Black History Month and share my experiences - 'Transracial Adoption - a personal reflection' This  was a wonderful opportunity to share my journey and explore the complexity of transracial adoption

If you are interested in booking this seminar/talk please do get in touch.

In 2021 I was commissioned to write and present the poem featured for the National #YouCanAdopt Campaign and present a special podcast that enabled me to interview amazing young adoptees about their experiences. I am excited and honoured to join them in the 2023 National Campaign next month.
